Robin has been a Professional Social Worker for over 15 years. She has extensive experience in providing psychotherapy, psychosocial evaluations, behavioral health care and crisis counseling to individuals, groups, and couples; and has worked at both private non-profits and providing care to wounded, ill and injured military personnel and their families.
Robin earned her Masters of Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University, and her Bachelor of Arts, Human Services Counseling, from Old Dominion University. Robin is licensed at the clinical level in Virginia. She is also certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Levels I and II, Prolonged Exposure Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, she offers therapeutic services to individuals, couples, adolescents, and groups. She believes that through education and treatment, pain and suffering caused by abuse, addiction, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, difficult family situations, trauma, sexual identify confusion, dependency, grief and loss, couples distress, separation and divorce, work/home role strain, and life-changing events can be reduced. Her experience has shown that by using research-supported, evidence-based assessments and interventions, clients can discover the path of exploration to the life they wish to lead.
